Mission: To run the worldwide IP practice, including all aspects of trademark, copyright, and patent clearance, filing, prosecution, protection and enforcement, anti-counterfeit and counterfeit prosecution strategies.  This position is primarily transactional, but will manage IP dispute resolution as well. 

Key Result Areas

Time Utilization

  1. Product Development Clearance, requiring regular interaction with the creative teams to review product in development and resolve any conflicts to ensure patent and copyright clearance.

  1. Management of Trademark, Copyright, and Patent searches,   Registration and Maintenance, anti-counterfeit program, enforcement, and prosecution of infringement matters worldwide excluding China.

  1. Consult on all aspects of IP Merchandise Licensing Program

Position Requirements

 Education/Experience:

  • Must have a degree from an ABA-approved law school and be duly licensed. Patent practice certification a plus.
  • Should have 10-plus years’ experience as an Intellectual Property attorney handling patent, copyright and trademark clearance, protection and enforcement, as well as IP licensing.
  • Experience in the consumer products industry highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of IP protection and Product Development Procedures
  • Ability to effectively manage a team, including instigation of successful processes, budgeting and cost management, and employee development.

Salary:

 $150,000.00 – $200,000.00 /year
