Mission: Development and implementation of short and long term product strategies and strategic management of product category based on thorough new product evaluation, packaging, pricing, competition, forecasting, consumer and retail trend analysis, PR, advertising, and promotions.

Position Requirements
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Business management required
- MBA strongly preferred
- 5-7 years’ experience in brand management at a consumer products company, (preferably with products targeting parents and children, but not required)
- Experience working
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient at PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Ability to work across multiple functional silos
- Strong organizational, analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to respond quickly and adeptly to change
- Product launch experience
Key Result Areas and Activities
Drive Consumer Demand
- Utilizing traditional and non-traditional methods, create brand awareness, preference, and loyalty in order to drive sales
- Advertising, PR, Social Media, Product Placement, Event Marketing, Location Based Marketing, Product Endorsement, etc
- Caretaker of the consumer – understand all aspects of the consumer – tastes, attitudes, influencing factors, etc through primary and secondary research
- Track results of new product launches
Brand Management
- Lead new product launches from conception through execution (pricing, positioning, packaging, etc)
- Monitor, review, and fine tune brand positioning and architecture to reflect changing consumer tastes and attitudes, market dynamics, and consumer trends to insure brand is current and relevant
- Act as brand ambassador internally and externally
Marketing
- Development of marketing plans for key product drivers including but not limited to
- Traditional and Digital marketing
- Advertising
- Public Relations
- Social Media
Strategic Planning
- Make strategic growth recommendations through analyzing related categories and proposing line expansion opportunities and future developmen that meet or exceed all financial goals
Research
- Review available consumer research to understand changing trends that affect preference, attitude, buying patterns to insure that product development is consumer centric
- Ongoing competitive research to insure product offerings are best in class in terms of quality, innovation, styling, and pricing and trends
P&L Analysis and Management
- Analyze and manage all aspects of P&L including ad spend, ROI etc.
Salary:
$90,000 – $115,000 /yr
