Copywriter
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and creatively driven Copywriter to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives at the intersection of storytelling, design, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is not only a talented graphic designer but also someone who can seamlessly collaborate with both creative and analytically minded individuals, turning complex ideas into compelling, accessible content.
This is a multifaceted role requiring strong copywriting skills, a background in design tools, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Work Location:
Minimum 4 days onsite at MGA Headquarters in Chatsworth, CA
Key Responsibilities
• Create and review brand-aligned technical illustrations, working in tandem multiple global creative teams
• Utilize AI tools and platforms to enhance workflow, content ideation, and production where appropriate
• Collaborate closely with designers, illustrators, marketers, and product teams to craft clear visual written instruction
• Use critical thinking to understand project objectives and propose effective copy solutions that resonate with both creative and linear thinkers
• Contribute to and help maintain the brand voice, ensuring consistency across all channels
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing deadlines
• Review and refine layouts and design content using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Ensure all content is accurate, clear, grammatically correct, and aligned with brand standards
Qualifications
• Proven experience in copywriting, ideally in a creative or consumer product environment
• Background in or comfort with graphic design and technical illustration
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools for creative development and content optimization
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative and business teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive
Preferred Skills
• Experience in the toy, entertainment, or consumer product industry
• Working knowledge of design systems and brand guidelines
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Planner, BOX, Monday.com)
Pay Range:
$25.00 – $29.00 /hour
