Mission: Manage In-house Employment Practice for Busy Multinational Consumer Products Company

KEY RESULT AREAS  Time Utilization

Advise Human Resources and other Management 40%

regarding employment and employee relations matters,

including pre-litigation dispute resolution.

  

Draft, negotiate and manage employment, consultant,  40%

and vendor agreements.

Other projects and assignments as needed, including various

vendor agreements and other transactional matters.  20%    

    

Position Requirements

Education/Experience:

– Must have a JD from an accredited school of law

    – Must have a 4 year undergraduate degree

 – 6-10 years’ experience as a successful employment attorney

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

– Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

    – Computer literate

    – Well organized, flexible and multi-task oriented

    – Must be a motivated self-starter who can work independently

    – Must be able to exercise good judgment and make decisions

    – Strong, driven and hard working.

 – Comfortable Working Internationally

Authority:

  • Reports to the General Counsel

Key Result Areas:    

Knowledge- Maintain Expertise and Advise on current state of the law regarding California statutory requirements and restrictions, and work with appropriate outside counsel to manage issues in other jurisdictions within the US and internationally.

Agreements- Draft, execute, and manage the performance of Employment, Consultant and Vendor agreements.

Policies- Update and Maintain company employment-related documents and policies.

All other duties as assigned and/or needed.

Salary:

$150,000 – $200,000 /year
