Position Overview:
As a Senior Product Development Engineer, you'll manage products from design to production, oversee multiple projects, and ensure product quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design Collaboration: Vet designs for cost, safety, manufacturability, and usability.
– Cost Analysis: Conduct costing exercises for components, labor, and packaging.
– Bid Packages: Create and send bid packages to vendors.
– CAD Development: Build and validate 3D tooling CAD for US products.
– Packaging Support: Suggest packaging dimensions and validate usability.
– Make vs Buy Analysis: Assist in production method decisions.
– Schedule Management: Track schedules for US and Asia-produced items.
– Technical Documentation: Write Tooling Approval Requests and manage Engineering Change Requests.
– Compliance and QA: Ensure products meet safety standards and manage testing.
– Production Support: Verify parts, instruct factory staff, and assist with inspections.
– Productivity Improvements: Drive cost reductions and productivity savings.
Qualifications:
– B.S. in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering.
– Experience with Pro Engineer Creo or SolidWorks.
– Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
– Knowledge of Roto, Blow, and Injection molding processes.
– Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
– Availability for virtual meetings with HK team members.
