Position Overview:
The Senior Manager of Planning will focus on the development and execution of strategies for one of MGA Entertainment’s key brands. This role centers on managing product line plans, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth and brand success. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in brand management, planning, and experience in consumer goods or the toy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Brand Support
• Contribute to the development of annual and long-term strategic plans for the assigned brand.
• Support product lifecycle management, including SKU optimization and product transitions.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
• Assist in the execution of brand strategies in alignment with key business objectives.
Product and Line Management
• Partner with product development teams to support the creation of engaging, innovative products.
• Help manage the product portfolio, ensuring an effective mix across categories and price points.
• Support licensing opportunities by coordinating with internal licensing teams to enhance product offerings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Sales and Retail teams to align on product sell-in strategies and retailer needs.
• Partner with Operations and Inventory teams to track inventory levels and ensure supply chain efficiency.
• Collaborate with Media, PR, and Creative teams to ensure marketing strategies align with product plans.
Budget and Forecasting
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process to meet brand goals and financial targets.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide insights to adjust plans for continued success.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
• 5+ years of experience in brand management, planning, or related roles, preferably in consumer goods or toys.
• Experience with product development or cross-functional planning.
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, market research tools, and data analysis platforms.
Salary:
$135,000.00 – $165,000.00/year
