Job Summary:

MGA Entertainment, a leading innovator and creator of children's toys and entertainment products, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stock and Option Trader. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and executing stock and option trades, developing trading strategies, and maximizing portfolio performance. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Trading Operations:
    • Execute stock and option trades on behalf of MGA Entertainment.
    • Monitor financial markets to identify trading opportunities and risks.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant trading regulations and internal policies.
  2. Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement trading strategies to achieve financial goals.
    • Conduct technical and fundamental analysis to inform trading decisions.
    • Utilize quantitative models and tools to optimize trading performance.
  3. Portfolio Management:
    • Manage and optimize the company's investment portfolio.
    • Perform regular portfolio analysis and risk assessments.
    • Prepare and present reports on portfolio performance to senior management.
  4. Market Research:
    • Stay abreast of market trends, economic news, and financial developments.
    • Conduct thorough research on potential investment opportunities.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on market research.
  5. Risk Management:
    • Identify, monitor, and mitigate trading and investment risks.
    • Develop and implement risk management strategies.
    • Ensure adherence to risk limits and guidelines.
  6. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with the finance team to align trading activities with company objectives.
    • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in stock and option trading.
  • Proven track record of successful trading and portfolio management.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, trading platforms, and financial instruments.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in trading software and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, E*TRADE).
  • Excellent risk management and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing market conditions.

Preferred Skills:

  • CFA, FRM, or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with algorithmic trading and quantitative strategies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in trading.

Salary: 

$250,000.00 – $300,000.00 / yr
