Mission: The Associate Manager, Corporate Communications, will play a pivotal role in supporting and executing the company’s communications and PR strategy to amplify MGA Entertainment's brand presence. This role requires a proactive communicator who will plan and execute communications efforts, coordinate PR campaigns, and ensure cohesive messaging to internal and external stakeholders. As an essential part of the PR team, this person will support initiatives to enhance brand awareness and engagement across all communications channels.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in communications and/or public relations, ideally in the toy, consumer products, or entertainment industry.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
· Strong project management skills with the ability to lead communications initiatives from planning to execution.
· Excellent writing, research, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PR databases, and social media and media management tools.
· Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail.
· Skilled in developing and nurturing relationships with external contacts including social media/celebrity influencers and business partners, as well as internal cross-functional team members and internal clients.
· Demonstrates strategic thinking, follow-through, problem-solving, and initiative.
Authority: Reports to the VP, Corporate Communications, working closely with senior communications team members, and collaborating with brand and cross-functional partners.
Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate is an adaptable, proactive professional who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about advancing MGA Entertainment’s brand and brands through strategic communications initiatives.
· Plan and execute communications strategies and programs in partnership with brand, marketing, and digital teams to build visibility for MGA brands.
· Proactively manage relationships with media outlets, social media influencers, and others as appropriate to help secure consistent and high-quality media coverage.
· Assist in drafting press releases, pitches, media statements, and other materials
· Collaborate closely with brand and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of all communications efforts within overall business objectives.
· Manage the earned influencer program working closely with brand and cross-functional teams to ensure outreach is consistent with brand plans and objectives
· Assist with managing communications campaigns for brand and product launches, including influencer and media outreach, product mailers, events, and other tactics.
· Lead the creation of compelling media assets, including press kits, presentations, and digital resources.
· Monitor media and earned influencer coverage, prepare analytics reports, and provide insights for brand teams and senior management.
· Working closely with the PR agency, manage ongoing media tracking reports, keeping the brand teams and senior leadership team informed. On MGA and competitor coverage.
· Oversee communications administrative tasks, including budget management, vendor coordination, invoice processing, and approvals.
· Support awards submissions, media sample requests, and maintain communications resources, image library, digital files and assets.
Salary:
$70,000.00 – $90,000.00 / year
