Position Overview:
The Manager of Planning will support the execution of strategies for one of MGA Entertainment’s key brands. This role focuses on assisting with product line plans, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure brand success. The ideal candidate will have a background in brand management, planning, and experience in consumer goods or the toy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Brand Support
• Assist in the development of annual strategic plans for the assigned brand.
• Support product lifecycle activities, including SKU optimization and transitions.
• Conduct basic market research and assist in competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Help execute brand strategies in alignment with business objectives.
Product and Line Management
• Collaborate with product development teams to support the creation of engaging, innovative products.
• Assist in managing the product portfolio to ensure an effective mix across categories and price points.
• Coordinate with licensing teams to support product enhancement opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with Sales and Retail teams to support product sell-in strategies and address retailer needs.
• Partner with Operations and Inventory teams to monitor inventory levels and support supply chain processes.
• Collaborate with Media, PR, and Creative teams to ensure marketing strategies align with product plans.
Budget and Forecasting
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process to help meet brand goals.
• Track performance metrics and provide input for adjustments to plans.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in brand management, planning, or related roles, preferably in consumer goods or toys.
• Experience with product development or cross-functional planning.
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Solid project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with market research too
Salary:
$105,000.00 – $135,000.00 /year
